Accessibility

I want every patient to be able to reach the practice and use this website, including people with limited sight, hearing, mobility or reading ability. This page sets out what has been done and where there are still limits.

The practice rooms

• The practice at Herrengasse 13 in Crimmitschau is on the ground floor and can be reached without steps.
• If you use a walking frame or wheelchair, just let me know when you book. I will then plan a little more time.
• Parking is available directly on Taubenmarkt square and in the surrounding streets, usually with a parking disc.
• If you cannot come to the practice, I can treat you at home with a doctor’s prescription.

The website

The website follows the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. Based on my review, the requirements are largely met, with the exceptions listed below.

What is in place

• Every page has one main heading and a clear structure with subheadings.
• All images that carry content have a descriptive text alternative.
• Body text and small labels reach a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1.
• The site can be used without a mouse. A “Skip to content” link leads past the navigation.
• The layout adapts to screen size and to browser zoom, including on mobile phones.
• Every field in the appointment request form has a visible label.
• The language of each page is set so that screen readers pronounce it correctly. Content is available in German and English.
• No fonts, maps or videos are loaded from third-party servers.

What is not yet accessible

• There is no content in Easy Read and no sign language video.
• Some decorative elements such as thin lines and icons have lower contrast. They carry no information that is not also given in the text.
• The “Plan your route” link leads to Google Maps. The accessibility of that site is outside my control.

How this statement was prepared

This statement is based on a self-assessment carried out on 26 September 2026. All pages in German and English were checked on desktop and mobile, partly with automated tools and partly by hand. No external audit has taken place. This statement is made voluntarily.
